Healthy Recipes

Found this great recipe for post workout snack or anytime snack for that matter on Pinterest! I added the   oatmeal, almond meal and cinnamon for thicker batter.

1 ripe banana
2 eggs
1/4 cup of ground oatmeal
1/4 cup of almond meal (i use Trader Joe's almond meal- its much cheaper than buying whole almonds and grinding them)
cinnamon to flavor

*mash banana and eggs together. mix in the oatmeal and almond meal until has the appearance of batter (add more if you want a thicker batter). add in as much or little cinnamon that you want for flavor. Pour silver dollar size portions onto a hot griddle and cook as though you would pancakes.*
*put in fridge what you don't eat :) The leftovers warmed up with a little Nutella make a great snack for the next day too!

Equipment needed: Stopwatch, yoga ball
Warm-Up (don’t skip the warm-up, this is just as important as the actual workout!):
3 rounds:
20 jumping jacks
10 slow, deep walking lunges (the goal is to stretch and warm-up, not feel the burn)
5 burpees
WOD:
5 rounds for time:
5 tuck jumps
10 speed skaters
15 air squats
30 second forearm plank
Cashout (at your own pace):
30 yoga ball back extensions
30 donkey kicks, count each leg

Hiking Picture

My new photography endeavor is learning to photograph waterfalls!!

Hi!!!

I am attempting this blogging idea for the first time with a personal blog... :) Still working on getting everything up and running!!

Yesterday, February 25 2013 I started a new workout schedule using Cross Fit!!! And to be honest, it kicked my tail, but in a good way! Needless to say I woke up this morning with my quads on fire!! I knew that I had to jump right back in today for round two!!

I'm working on getting some health tips, healthy recipes and other fun stuff posted on here soon!!!
